Exactly what you’re buying
BuyMeTokens is a prepaid digital product, not a tip jar or a token to trade. Here is the whole deal, in plain terms.
The product
Prepaid AI usage. You buy a credit pack and it is delivered to a builder's account as OpenRouter AI credits — a balance they spend running AI models. “Tokens” are AI usage units, not cryptocurrency.
The price & our fee
Packs are $5, $20, or $50, or a custom $3–$500. BuyMeTokens keeps a 10% platform fee; the remaining 90% becomes the recipient's AI credits. The split is shown before you pay.
Delivery
Instant. The moment your payment is confirmed, the credits are provisioned automatically to the recipient's account through OpenRouter. No account or manual step needed to buy.
Refunds & what credits are
Credits are non-cash, non-transferable, and cannot be withdrawn. Since they're delivered instantly, purchases are non-refundable once delivered, except for duplicate charges, non-delivery, or unauthorized transactions — see the Refund Policy.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Read the Terms, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.

- What exactly am I buying?
- Prepaid AI usage. You buy a credit pack and we deliver it to a builder's account as OpenRouter AI credits — a balance they spend running large-language-model requests (GPT, Claude, Llama, and 300+ others). It's a digital product with instant delivery, like buying API credits and having them applied to someone's account.
- Is this cryptocurrency?
- No. "Tokens" here means AI usage units — the same way OpenAI and Anthropic bill text by the token. There is no coin, no wallet, no blockchain, and nothing to trade or invest in. A pack is simply a prepaid amount of AI usage.
- What does the recipient actually receive — can they cash it out?
- They receive AI credits applied to their account, and nothing else. Credits have no cash value: they cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or converted to money. There are no cash payouts at any point. The credits can only be spent on AI usage through OpenRouter.
- How much does it cost, and what's your fee?
- Packs are Spark $5, Charge $20, and Boost $50, or you can enter a custom amount from $3 to $500. BuyMeTokens keeps a 10% platform fee; the remaining 90% is delivered as the recipient's AI credits. The price and split are shown before you pay.
- How fast is delivery?
- Instantly. As soon as your payment is confirmed, we provision the AI credits to the recipient's account automatically — no waiting and no manual step.
- Can I buy AI usage for myself?

- Who processes payment, and what's the refund policy?
- Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as our merchant of record (they handle card processing, tax, and receipts).
